Shin Megami Online Anyone? :3

Fri Jan 30, 2009, 10:39 AM
Swamped with work and the brother introduced me to my first MMO, Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine (golly that's a long name). Helloooo time sink! I'm a big fan of the SMT series in general so I'm giving this one a shot. Anyone else playing? :3

Remembering Reuben Kee

Wed Nov 26, 2008, 7:35 AM
(Cross-posted)

It's hard to believe that it's already been one year since the OCR community lost Reuben. Losing someone is always sad, but even more so when they were in the prime of their life and had done so many great things. I believed then, and I still do now, that we shouldn't dwell on the tragic circumstances of someone's death. Why overlook the fond memories, great accomplishments, and the wonderful years of their life just to focus on one sad moment, right? And in Reuben's case, there was a lot to celebrate. I had been wracking my brains over what to write but truth be told, I can't. Words, at least mine, can't do him justice and others can do a far better job than me, even people who hadn't met him in person. That was Reuben's gift, the power to touch others with his gifts, especially his music even if it was only one aspect of his great life. In keeping with that, I'm posting links so that his music would continue to touch others and keep his memory alive. :

I have no doubt that if Reu were still with us he'd be happy to see how far the community has come along- involvement in commercial projects (SF2 HD just recently) and getting together with compilations. And I know he would've jumped on board with all of them. That freakin' overachiever. ;)

Cheers, Reu.

Minor Stuff- Hellsing next month, DBA Ep 5

Tue Sep 9, 2008, 6:27 PM
Hellsing's coming to a close in the next YKO and Saphire Diablo from hiranomoe.com has graciously given fans the opportunity to purchase a copy (or 10 :P ). Details are on the forum here: [link]

Sure it'll be in Japanese and I'll be screwed if Hirano is late with it, but I'm a dork. :B

Dragon Ball Abridged is up to Episode 5 ([link]=P6P_sXbQtgc) great stuff and it seems Little Kuriboh (of Yugioh Abridged fame) is officially the narrator! :D

Real update soon (or not...) Cheers! =)

DBZ, YYH, Yugioh Abridged!

Thu Jul 17, 2008, 1:12 PM
So I'm a bit behind on the abridged scene but it's come to my attention that Team Four Star is doing a freaking great job on DBZ the Abridged series with jokes for fans of the sub and dub. Do check them out :) [link] And if YouTube's being dickish and taking down episodes like they did with LittleKuriboh, search for TFS Dragonball Abridged since there are other DBZ abridged series (though not as good IMO)

DBZ Abridged Movie 1 Dead Zone : [link]
DBZ Abridged Movie 2 World's Strongest: [link]

And while I'm at it, Lanipator and LittleKuriboh/CardGamesFTW are my heroes.
Yu Yu Hakusho Abridged (I linked the Abridged version of the movie, but Lanipator's also doing the regular YYH series, it gets better later on): [link]
Yugioh Abridged (I'm loving this and I don't even LIKE Yugioh!): [link]

Enjoy!

The comic industry has lost another great artist, Michael Turner at 37. I'm just speechless.
