Not quite sure what to say about this one. It was one of those moments where I thought, "Hey, Integra would look great in that pose!" coupled with "Let's experiment with the pen tool!" I had my friend's artbook as a reference for Integra's pose (Samonosuke from Onimusha) and tiny scans of Vol. 6 for character design. Yet another drawing done during downtime at work. What can I say? Boredom nurtures creativity.
Created entirely in Photoshop with the pen tool and a "mighty mouse" (that's what Apple calls 'em anyway). While coloring, I thought Integra looked lonely and added Alucard and his shadow thingies from scratch. Before this, I hadn't really worked with the pen tool so I think I'm happy with how it turned out? I should have spent a little longer on coloring and whatnot but after all those days (2 weeks give or take) of staring at the pic, my eyes were starting to go out on me and I'm already blind as it is. ^_^
Pen tool's great and all but there's just something about it that can never really replace traditional pencil and paper for me, though I might start inking my work on the comp from now on.
